The Inner Work Intensive
A small group therapy retreat with Sarah and Charlie
Jilliby, Central Coast NSW • 12 to 15 March 2027
Go deeper, together. Four women, three nights, two therapists, and the space to do the real work.
If you've done the weekly sessions, read the books, and still feel like you're only scratching the surface, this is for you. Created by Psychologist Sarah Wills and Aboriginal Somatic Therapist Charlie Abra, The Inner Work Intensive sits between an EMDR intensive and a retreat. You get the depth of intensive therapy, the body-based support that helps it land, and a tiny group of women doing it right alongside you.
Meet your therapists

Sarah Wills and Charlie Abra
Sarah is a registered psychologist and EMDR therapist, and deep, concentrated therapy work is what she's known for. She has run over 100 whole-day EMDR intensives and more than 50 women's retreats, so she knows how to hold a room when the work gets real, and how to keep it safe. Before psychology, Sarah spent 15 years in corporate leadership. She gets it, because she's been through it too, both professionally and personally.
Charlie is an Aboriginal somatic therapist who helps you reconnect with your body through breathwork, gentle movement and nervous system regulation. Because understanding something intellectually doesn't always mean we feel differently, this work brings together both the mind and the body. With two therapists in a room of four women, you receive a level of support, attention and care that allows for deeper, more personal work.
The Space

Three full days of therapy work
Your place covers psychological and somatic therapy, start to finish. That's 15+ hours of guided therapeutic work across your stay, plus a welcome circle and a closing session. EMDR is available where it's clinically appropriate and needed, decided with Sarah in your suitability session.
This is for you if...
-
You've been to a Connected Minds retreat and you're ready to go deeper.
-
You've done an intensive, and now you want to do the work alongside other women, because we heal in connection.
-
You've tried somatic work or intensive therapy, and you want to feel what happens when the two come together.

How the days flow
-
Friday: arrive in the afternoon and settle in. At 5pm we gather for a welcome circle, a couple of hours to meet each other, meditate and set your intentions. Then a light dinner as the sun sets over the property, a gentle meditation and an early night.
-
Saturday: sunrise somatic yoga, breakfast, then into group therapy together. After lunch, one-on-one sessions with Sarah, and free time to enjoy the property: a bushwalk, a visit to the animals, the sauna and ice bath.
-
Sunday: the same gentle rhythm, with a longer two to three hour group session that includes breathwork, and a Reiki session for each of you. The afternoon is yours again, with one-on-one time woven in.
-
Monday: breakfast, a final somatic session, then our closing circle before you head home.
Small enough to go deep. Big enough that you're not doing it alone.

Frequently asked questions
Is it Medicare rebatable?
If you have a valid Mental Health Treatment Plan from your GP, you may be able to claim Medicare rebates for both parts of the program: a one-on-one session and a group session each day. Across the 4 days, that could currently be up to about $600 back. Individual sessions come out of your yearly Better Access allowance, group rebates need a full group of 4, and we'll go through your eligibility in your suitability session.
Is there a discount?
Because this is clinical therapy, Inner Circle member discounts don't apply to the program itself. If you've been to one of our retreats or had an EMDR intensive with Sarah, you may be eligible for a returning client discount. Just mention it when you apply.
Do I have to stay on site?
No. Twin share accommodation in the on-site cottage and meals are included, but you're welcome to come in each day and stay wherever suits you. The program and price are the same either way.

About this program: The Inner Work Intensive is a clinical group therapy program delivered by Sarah Wills, registered psychologist (AHPRA PSY0002602359), with somatic therapy from Charlie Abra. Unlike our Connected Minds wellness retreats, it is psychological therapy, and places are offered following a suitability session. Group therapy isn't right for everyone, and outcomes vary from person to person. If you are a current therapy client of Sarah's, please raise it with her at your next session before booking so we can make sure the group format is right for your care. This is not a crisis service. If you are in crisis or need urgent support, please contact Lifeline on 13 11 14 or call 000. Twin share accommodation and meals are included in the program price.
